AL.PI. s.r.l., a company specializing in the design and manufacture of soles for footwear, has made a significant step forward on its journey towards sustainability by obtaining the prestigious ISO 14001 certification.
In early 2025, our Environmental Management System (EMS) was certified by Bureau Veritas – a global leader in certification – as being in compliance with the ISO 14001 standard.

Our commitment and sensitivity towards the environment and the land in which we live have been ongoing for a number of years. To this end, several years ago we put in place significant measures to increase energy efficiency, including the overhaul of the roof, replacing the old asbestos cement panels with photovoltaic sandwich panels. 361 high-performance solar panels: a 450 kW photovoltaic system This system, powered by the sun, is designed to generate 540,000 kWh of clean energy per year, of which at least 70% will be used internally by the company. To maximize the in-house re-use of the energy produced, AL.PI. has installed a 23.2 kWh rechargeable battery, enabling a significant increase in internal consumption, up to 79%. In addition, we have also installed a dual charging point for electric cars, with a maximum output of 22 kW, amounting to 44 kW in total. This demonstrates our tangible commitment towards sustainable mobility.
From the monitoring of consumption to the reduction of emissions: a step forward towards a Sustainable Industry.
The operations to boost energy efficiency implemented by AL.PI. have not concerned solely the deployment of cutting-edge technologies for the use of energy from renewable sources but also the optimization of existing processes. AL.PI. has put in place a system to monitor fume extraction, adjusting the opening of the extractors based on the molding cycle. In addition, the company has replaced its previous dust-extraction system with a more efficient version, reducing installed power and enhancing overall efficiency. Last of all, AL.PI. is fostering transparency and energy awareness through the installation of a system to monitor consumption. This tool will provide the company with real-time information on our energy consumption, enabling ongoing optimization and more precise monitoring.
