AL.PI supports scientific research, and the GAIA Association

We are happy and honoured for  small contribution to support the initiatives of the GAIA Project, a non-profit organization created by parents of children admitted to the Pediatric Oncohematology ward of Salesi Hospital in Ancona.

The  donation will be used to purchase a microscope necessary for the research done by Professor Antonio Scilimati from the University of Bari on a molecule for treating glioma, the most frequently encountered tumour in pediatric age, which is still incurable today.

We are deeply grateful to the parents for their commendable initiative in favor of the hospitalized children and to the scientific community for the invaluable research they are conducting.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of Pediatric Oncohematology at Salesi, Dr. Paola Coccia, Barbara Capponi, the Councilor for Social Services of the City of Civitanova Marche, and the President of Gaia, Filippo Marilungo that gave us a plaque as a thank-you for our donation.

“We thank – says Marilungo – the company’s board of directors, especially Piero and Rosanna, who wanted to support us.”
“We thank the company – added Capponi – for this act of generosity in memory of Alfredo Brasca, co-founder of Alpi.”

We are happy and honoured to be able to support initiatives like the one carried out by the parents of “Progetto Gaia”.

Supporting scientific research to find cures to combat still incurable diseases is essential.
